Donald Trump:The US government supported the Maidan protests
A video tweet by Donald Trump goes viral, in which he accuses the United States of instigating conflict in Ukraine
On Tuesday, a video was uploaded to a Twitter account associated with Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, in which he accused past US administrations of instigating conflict in Ukraine. The former President took the opportunity to remind viewers that during his time in office, he was one of the few US Presidents who did not start a war of aggression.
He cites as a reason for this his rejection of the “catastrophic advice” of the “US elite,” tips from “generals, bureaucrats, and so-called diplomats.” He specifically criticizes Victoria Nuland, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs in the Biden administration and former employee of the US Department of State from 2013 to 2017, and accuses her of pushing Ukraine towards NATO during her tenure.
At the same time, he criticizes the US State Department for supporting the Maidan protests in 2014. Donald Trump warns of a third world war. He calls the Russian aggression against Ukraine “terrible,” but at the same time says that this war would not exist today if he, Donald Trump, were the US President. He uses his speech to promote conspiracy theories that suggest democratic US governments wanted to bring about regime changes abroad.
