Read Time:1 Minute, 23 Second

Authorities from both the United States and Mexico are currently engaged in a search and rescue operation for three US sailors who have been missing for 11 days. The sailors were reported en route to San Diego when they disappeared, and the joint effort is aimed at locating them as soon as possible. The situation is certainly worrying, and we can only hope that the missing individuals are found safe and well soon. Our hearts go out to their families and friends during this difficult time.

The United States Coast Guard and the Mexican Navy are collaborating to search for three US sailors who have been missing for 11 days. Kerry O’Brien, Frank O’Brien, and William Gross were last heard from on April 4th, near the city of Mazatlán in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The sailors were en route to San Diego and had planned to stop in Cabo San Lucas on April 6th for supplies and to report their location. However, there is no record of their arrival in Cabo San Lucas, and no sightings of their boat, a 44-foot LaFitte named “Ocean Bound,” have been reported.

Search and rescue teams have contacted marinas throughout Baja, Mexico, and issued marine information broadcasts requesting mariners to keep a lookout for the missing individuals and vessel. The journey from Mazatlán to Cabo San Lucas by boat requires a more than 200-mile sail across the southern Gulf of California, according to ABC News. The Mexican Navy is leading the search effort, with support from the US Coast Guard. Anyone with information regarding the missing sailors or their vessel is asked to contact authorities immediately.
