San Francisco, [Date] – In a scathing critique of President Joe Biden’s recent performance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in San Francisco, House Republican Speaker Mike Johnson accused the President of “projecting weakness” on the international stage. The summit, which has been a focal point for global media, witnessed President Biden labeling Chinese leader Xi Jinping a “dictator,” a move that has stirred varied responses.

According to Johnson, Biden’s approach in dealing with major world leaders and critical global issues signifies a troubling trend of weakness, which he believes could invite aggression from foreign adversaries. This criticism comes amid a series of gaffes and verbal missteps by President Biden during the summit, raising concerns about his leadership acumen.

The summit, which covered a range of issues including AI military use and global renewable energy, saw Biden and Xi discussing critical topics such as the fentanyl crisis and renewable energy. However, conservative commentators like Helen Raleigh and energy experts have expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of Biden’s strategies, particularly in negotiations with China.

A key point of contention has been the recent U.S.-China agreement to triple global renewable energy capacity by 2030. Critics argue that this deal benefits China more than the U.S., citing China’s dominance in the green energy market and production of lithium-ion batteries. Daniel Turner, CEO of Power the Future, and Jason Isaac, CEO of The American Energy Institute, have both criticized the deal as favoring Chinese interests over American ones.

Marlo Lewis of the American Enterprise Institute has also voiced concerns, suggesting that the agreement could lead to increased government intervention in the economy and pose national security risks. He compared the potential outcomes to the central planning and production quotas characteristic of the Soviet Union.

As President Biden nears his 81st birthday, these critiques highlight growing apprehensions about his administration’s policies, both domestically and internationally. The criticism from Speaker Johnson and others underscores the challenges facing the Biden administration as it navigates complex global dynamics and internal political pressures.
