Former US Troops File Multi-Billion Dollar Lawsuit Against Biden Administration Over COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

In a groundbreaking legal move, a group of former US military servicemen has filed lawsuits against the Biden administration, seeking billions in compensation. These lawsuits stem from the loss of pay and benefits due to the administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate in the military.

Attorney Dale Saran, a noted figure for his successful legal challenge against the anthrax vaccine, is at the forefront of this new legal battle. Joining him are attorneys Andy Meyer and Brandon Johnson. Their collective effort aims to transform these individual lawsuits into a class action representing all affected servicemen.

The legal action, filed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, challenges the alleged illegal discharge or interruption of military duties for servicemen who declined the COVID-19 vaccination. This issue has reportedly affected between 80,000 to 100,000 military personnel, both active duty and reservists. Over 8,000 of these were completely discharged, while others faced inactive status or cessation of their military drills.

Saran highlights the lack of due process in these cases, citing the absence of administrative separation boards or hearings. The plaintiffs, including a former Coast Guardsman commended by President Biden for his service during Hurricane Ian, argue that the mandate was enforced without proper legal or administrative procedures.

The contention revolves around the nature of the COVID-19 vaccines, labeled as experimental by the plaintiffs, and the perceived contradiction with the Defense Secretary’s order stipulating only licensed vaccines be mandatory.

The Pentagon, according to Saran, has already allocated funds for such eventualities in its annual budget, which could potentially cover the backpay claims.

This lawsuit marks a significant challenge to the Biden administration’s policies during the pandemic and raises critical questions about military mandates and individual rights.
